Pear Hot Toddy Winter Gin Cocktail

Ingredients

*This is so fun to do! We used ripe pears to infuse the gin for a week or so. To get enough flavour, leave to infuse for a minimum of five days and for up to two weeks, depending on the pears used. Taste test (especially for sweetness) after five days and give it a shake every now and then.

Mix the syrup, lemon juice and infused gin, then top up with hot water - leave enough space to add a slice of pear as garnish. ENJOY!

How to Make Cinnamon Syrup

Simply add sugar, water and cinnamon sticks to a saucepan. Stir gently until the sugar has dissolved. Take off the heat, cover with a lid and leave to sit for 30 minutes to an hour. Strain and store. You could also use fresh ginger, cardamom, star anise, cloves and/or black pepper in this recipe.

Enjoy!
