NEW SERIES: Founder's Favourites - Part 1: The Last Word
We think it's time for some more cocktail inspiration!
Introducing the Last Word, quite a boozy and tangy but well-balanced drink steeped in history - more on the topic as always from the brilliant Difford's Guide.
Chartreuse is a wonderfully herbal ingredient but it's quite an investment for just one cocktail so you can also buy their mini bottles (here for example) if you can't or don't want to really do that.
Maraschino (I have been told you pronounce it like Bruschetta, so Maras-kino) is another random ingredient but Difford's shows me there are 225 cocktail recipes so I am sure you'll find a way to use up the bottle!

How to Make
Put your glass in the freezer, ideally a coupe or maybe a martini glass. Add all ingredients to your shaker and shake with lots of ice, it really benefits from the cold shake and dilution. Fine strain (i.e. use a Hawthorne strainer as well as a mesh fine strainer) into your chilled glass. Yum!!
PS: In the photo above we have actually used 1.5 x the recipe because we really wanted to use this wonderful glass and because our founder Kathy loves the cocktail so much!
